• Sweets do not cause diabetes, and giving up sweets does not cure it ગળ્યું ખાવાને કારણે ડાયાબિટીસ થતો નથી અને ગળ્યું છોડી દેવાને કારણે ડાયાબિટીસ સારો નથી થઇ જતો…
• Fenugreek seeds and bitter-gourd juice are not diabetes medicine — they can support treatment, they cannot replace it મેથીનાં દાણા કે કારેલાનો જ્યૂસ ડાયાબિટીસની દવા નથી : એ દવાને મદદ કરશે પણ ડાયાબિટીસને સાજો નહીં કરે!
• Swapping sugar for jaggery? Jaggery raises blood glucose faster than sugar does ડાયાબિટીસમાં ખાંડને બદલે ગોળ ખાતા હોવ તો સાવધાન… ખાંડની સરખામણીએ ગોળ બ્લડમાં સુગર ઝડપથી વધારે…!!!
• Brown sugar is refined white sugar with molasses added — the glycaemic index is all but identical વ્હાઇટને બદલે બ્રાઉન સુગર ખાનારાઓ સાવધાન : બ્રાઉન સુગરથી ડાયાબિટીસ કંટ્રોલમાં આવતો નથી…!!
• Rice on its own spikes blood sugar; rice with dal, greens, protein and salad does not એકલો ભાત ખાશો તો સુગર ઝડપથી વધશે પણ દાળ, લીલા શાક, પ્રોટીન, સલાડ સાથે ખાશો તો સુગર ઝડપથી નહીં વધે…!!
• Roti with only pickle sends sugar up; eat it with dal, paneer, curd, vegetables and salad રોટલીને અથાણાં સાથે ખાશો તો શુગર વધી જશે, રોટલીને દાળ, પનીર, દહીં, શાક અને સલાડ સાથે જ ખાવ!!
